I love the ELEMENTs

When I got home from vacation this last week I spent some time on my favorite blogs and pinterest looking for some inspiration.  This is a sketch that popped out at me and I figured I would give it a try.   I just like the elements and the different heights/textures. You know when you finish a card and hold it and it just makes you smile?  Yup, that is what happened with this one.

A Little Bird Told Me...........

Hello .........

What do you think of this little bird house?
This is a litle 3D project from Gina's Designs.  I took and covered each piece with designer paper and then put it all back together and there you go.  Easy Peasy: and what a sweet little item to sit on the table, put on a card or scrapbook page OR even add it to a shadow box of sorts.  Check out all the Bird house items Gina has.

The Blues

Once again I pulled out the Authentique papers and went to creating so that I didn't have to waste any of the scraps and these are the two cards that I made.  You know, there are some ladies out there that can do amazing things with twine, I am not one of them!  I do enjoy using it but I just can't get it to lay right, tie right and look right.  But I figure I have it- I better use it.
This one here I think that I used a sketch for a challenge but then forgot what it was so I never posted for the challenge.  Are these no tthe cutest flowers?  I just love orchid crafts flowers- always wanting to place another and another order..........  now to use them up, right?

I hope you enjoyed these two cards, gonna put them in a box for a little someone special as a giftie!

More Sweetness.....!

Ok, so I had my pink authentique papers out one evening and figured I was going to use, use and use it up!  So this is the 2nd little birthday card I made with it.  And I thought I would use the same items from Gina's Designs but give the card a different look today!
Doilies and Glassine Bags!!!   All you have to do is add a little gift card or money- a message inside and good to go!

Thanks for stopping over and have a great day!

SWEET!

Here is a sweet little birthday card I made using a few little Gina's Designs pieces.....   The glassine bags make perfect little pockets for gift cards.  Of course I had to put a sweet little doily on the front piece as well- have you tried these? I am tellin' you- they are so useful and definately a "go to" die cut!

Thinking of you BLUE!!!

Hello!  This card I started out with some color blocking and really wanted to use some of my SU dies as I feel like I don't use them enough.  I am sure you all go through that as well..... all these wonderful toys and honestly, I do think that I CAN have too much.  (shhhh don't tell anyone though).  I feel like I neglect things over and over and have to remind myself of what I do have.  Anyways, the paper is authentique and PTI buttons.

Take care and have a GREAT day!

Wishing You..............

I actually saw a card similar to this on Pinterest and had to give it a try.  I always forget to use my versamark and do some resist tecniques and I like how this one turned out.  The stamps are SU and I colored with copics.  Sending it out to a dear friend who is having a rough time!

Gina's Book Boxes

Hello..... back today with a new product over at Gina's Designs!  This is a book box (set of 3) made out of the Off the Page material which is a board.  The box opens and the spine of the book itself moves and is accordian style, you will see this later in another photos of the inside of the box.    I started out by covering my box with a canvas that I had washed and frayed and then inked up to give it a little "used" look.  And then I just started adding layers of chipboard, flowers, glitter.
I really wanted to incorporate a bunch of the new items that I got from Gina's and I think it all came together.  These little fairies are so darned cute and come in 3 sizes!   These are the smaller set.  Mixed with some swirls and ferns..... so mythical.
I wanted to show you the sides of the book box as well- I covered mine with paper and then added some swirls and flowers to complete the book/look.   And the final picture is the book box open- see how the spine rolls?  Is this fablous or what.  This book took me no more than 5 minutes to assemble!  It comes in 4 pieces: the book front/back/spine is one piece and then each of the ends and the front- glue it together and you are good to go!  Gina - this is an awesome piece!

Gated Album- Gina's Designs

It is time for yet another beautiful Gina's Designs Project.  I got this album from Gina along with the beautiful gate. The paper is SU and I could not wait to put this little album together.  I did not really have anyone specific in mind but it had to be delicate and allow for some room for some pictures.

Here are some pictures of the inside of the album- all decked out using some of Gina's Designs chipboard words, labels, birds & birdcage and of course............... last but not least, the doilies!

Robin's Nest Card

So the design team for Gina's Designs got some Robin's Nest Paper's to work with.  This paper line is the Animal Collection and I thought I would try to do something out of the box with it.  I mean, how often do you see a wedding card made out of black on black zebra print?   I added a Gina's Designs Lace Doily and a few flowers and the card is ready to go.
