Tags-A-Little

Hey,............ today's post is showing you some tags that I made. I love making tags although I will say that I have a hard time parting with them. You know it goes on that gift and they just rip them off and throw them away- ACK! No, let me have it back so I can use it again. Hee hee........ So as you can see, the birthday tag on the left and then the wedding one on the right. Both have the October Afternoon Thrift Shop DSP which as you know, I love. Can you say YUMMY?
Here is a close up of the wedding one, which I love of course. Thanks for stopping in!

Thank You Daisy!

Hello! Glad that you came back today! Today's card is one that I made for a submission challenge for a magazine. I have not submitted it yet but hoping someday it may make it to print. Who know, right? The DSP is all SU, actually the entire card is SU made. I am also going to enter the card in the Stampin Sisters for Christ Stripes Challenge.

Can you take anymore?

Hello and Happy Sunday! The other night I sat down with my cosmo cricket paper again and figured I would use it up. So here are a couple of new cards I made with it. The sentiment on the first one is one of my little sentiments from SU that I had to mask and stamp to get it to fit on the circle. This second card uses the Happy Birthday sentiment from the hostess level III set from SU and I am really enjoying these wonderful sentiments. They are a little different and a great variety. I hope you get to check them out!
So- there you go! Those are my cards for today............. I hope you enjoy them!

Cherry Sunday!

Happy Sunday!Isn't this paper scrumptuous? It is Cosmo Cricket and I just had to make a couple cherry note cards with it. In this first photo you can see both sides and I left it without a message since I didn't really have the perfect "cherry" sentiment.
This next one again used the MS border punch on the sides, I had done one of these in the past and I just love the looks of the card with the edging.............. it is rather simple I know but sometimes that is alright. Right?

All my cardstock is SU and it went so well with the CC line! I hope you enjoy and have a wonderful day!~

What do you give?

Hello again- it is Saturday, I know, and here I am again. But I couldnt resist myself, making the card the other day I wanted to use this DSP again. It is so scrumptuous! Dont cha think?
The paper is cosmo cricket and I matched it up with all SU cardstock. The sentiment is one of the new ones that will be in the level III hostess sets from SU. It is a fabulous set and I just love all the fun sentiments. But that is really about it, the card is pretty simple and not much to explain. :)
Have a good day!

As a Friend

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you are all ready (like I need to ask) for the weekend. I know I am- a week of classroom training will do that to you. Phew................. so this week I hopped over to ODBD and thought I could easily make a card for a friend using their recipe (flowers, ODBD stamp and ribbon). This sentiment is one that I think is cool b/c it is so true. So, you know what paper it is? It is a wonderful Cosmo Cricket print. I just love it! The little flowers are from prima, their summer pack. I then added a few little twigs with my MS branch punch. I just love the shabby/vintage look to this paper, kind of like my October Afternoon. The cross is ODBD and the sentiment is SU.
Have a fabulous weekend!

Star Birthday!

Happy Tuesday! How are you all doing so far this week? Can you believe it- I am posting again today! Only cause I made myself make another card last night. I really wanted to do something with this wonderful 4th of July set but since I don't send out 4th of July cards I thought of a birthday card- and it is kine of masculine so I can sent to a man. Don't you think? So all my cardstock is Stampinup, the star is the SU star that I only did part of the star on the border. I thought it added a little bit of element to the card. Then I added a little bit of sparkle to the one star to make it pop too! I like it............ hope you all have a great day !!

Just One Day...........

Happy Day! I hope this post finds you all well......... it has been a fun weekend. I took some time to make some cards and creations which I feel like I have not done in so long. Working outside of the house has really been a big change for me, I now have such a hard time finding time to do any of these things. But hoping to get back on track and posting more. This is another birthday card, I was needing one and low and behold............. none there! So I made this one and submitting for the alota challenge of making birthday cards. The sketch is mine, the DSP is October Afternoon- still LOVE it.
Hope you have a great week!

Sunday Stamper 107

Happy Saturday to you all! Today's project is a collage that I made for Hel's Sunday Stamper Challenge and KL SNS Vintage Challenge. I just love to check over at her blog on Sundays and this last week she made a wonderful shadow box and it just inspired me to work on one of my own. I started out with a canvas, I used one that has the wood border on it. I painted it with crackle paint, set it aside and then went to work. I used all SU paper and made each square individually. It was quite a task for me, it really made me have to think. First I had to design each of them and then get placement and honestly- it was alot of work for one evening. Some of the charms are from the new line of charms at Michael's.
I must say that my most favorite one is this little believe one. I covered chipboard with the crackle paint, I think it is wheat color and I heated it up and it crackled very well.
Check on over at Hel's to see all the wonderful creations.

This was also made following the ODBD Flower Recipe (no that does not mean you have to use flowers though) I used embossing, ribbon and swirls.
See what the other ladies have done at KLSNS doing vintage or shabby.
Ok, so here I went and did it again. I posted this project and then I looked at it and went- nope, it needs something to make that center piece pop. So I slept on it, did some thinking and this is what I came up with. See the difference? I think it makes it look much better and now I am ready to hang it on the wall.

Getting My MOJO....

I am trying to get back in the swing of things now that graduation and the party are over. Spent some time Sunday evening exploring all my inspirational sites and challenges and decided to use Julee's Mojo Monday (last week) as my kick start. The paper is October Afternoon, stamps are Happy Days and the flowers are colored with my copics. I have been for some reason looking at my cards again after I post them in a different light and then wanting to change them.............. anyone else do that? I hope you like it.

Case the 4th

Ok, so today's card many of you may recognize............. know it? Yep, I cased the card in the Stampin Up mini catalog for this card. That is the card that actually sold me on the set and the wheel. Once again, I am NOT a wheel gal but I couldn't resist! And well, now I have 2 Fourth of July cards. My friend Denise will be so proud of me- well that is if I actually get it in the mail! (wink!).

POP!!!

Hello everyone! I thought you all might be getting tired of the graduation cards, I know I have made my fill this year and hoping not to have to use them up (ha- that will cost me!). So today's card is one that I decided to make using my new 4th of July Stampin Up set. I don't typically send/make 4th of July card and I am not sure why that is but when I saw this set I just had to buy it. I figure I will surprise my friends this year. The colors are Not quite navy, red, kraft. The little star is a wooden button. Oh, oh..... I may need to add a little sparkle to this card now that I am looking at it again!

Happy Graduation.................

Okay one more graduation cards for you all........ this should be my last one. I had to make this one because I just go my verve set and wanted to at least use the graduation sentiment. It is simple but definately much nicer than many cards out there. Have you looked at the graduation cards available? Oh my gosh, firstly they are so expensive and then they are pretty basic card. Some have very nice sentiments but that is about it- we can add those to these cards! I personally have had compliments on all the cards I have given out this year so that makes me feel good. So that is it for today- the last graduation card. On to 4th of July!

Butterfly Birthday

Hello everyone! I apologize for the lack of posting over the last week. We had a graduation today and the party next weekend so I have been a little pre-occupied lately trying to get all the things in order. But this morning I was able to get this card done.
The DSP is from Basic Grey, the punch is MS butterfly and the embossing is CB folder. The sketch was done for ABC toys and crafts.

The Diploma

Hello everyone! Well as you know I have been focusing on graduation, only 5 more days, making graduation cards, party favors, and such. So I wanted to do a simple but fun little party favor for the kids at the graduation party and this is what I came up with (after doing some research). My son loves starburst, as does many of his friends, so this first diploma is a package of starburst. yep, those square packages that have like 15 starburst in them! I actually like the size they turned out because they feel a little more substantial. I made the DSP on the computer and actually printed it on copy paper because the cardstock was too thick and didn't roll nicely.

This next set of them is.............. can you guess? They are smaller around but longer in length, they have a white wrapper with some brown and orange print on them. Any guess? They are cowtails! My son and I also love these- carmel candy with cream in the center........ yummy. I saw them at Gordon's and new I had to use these for him! So I put the black ties on them instead of the red ones (which indicate star burst).

I hope all the kids like them............. they are fun. Ok, off I got now, have a fabulous week!

A little different

Ok, so here is another thank you card, if you can call it that. These are like postcards. I figured it says thank you and then my son can add his own notes on the top and stick it in an envelope. I am trying to make him write out some of his thank you's instead of putting something on the inside that makes it less personal- but I do have some really good sentiments that I can print out.
Thank you so much for stopping in. I am still trying to juggle returning to work with keeping up with my blog- seems like my weekends are focused on posting for the week and if I don't get them done by Sunday they don't get done. So I apologize ahead of time.
