Safari Friends

This is one of my Little C's stamps that I got- it is a High Hopes and I used the giraffe which is also a High Hopes. I stamped the hiker and then masked him to add the giraffes. I have to tell you, the color on here is not that good to me- but I had my hubby do some research for me to come up with the colors for the giraffe. Did you realize that giraffe's legs are actually much lighter than their bodies? You would not know from my card as I didn't really have a color to blend in so I was safe. The paper is Rusty Pickle Holiday Stripe (I know you are amazed that I even know that- but it helps when they put it clearly on the back of the paper!) My base is SU mustard and the image is matted on Hunter green. I used a little twine and some brads to finish it off. The twigs are from the MS punch.

Don't forget Little C's sale, it ends today. It is for 35% off with code BDay36.

Sweet NESS (and a sale!)

Okay, have you noticed a trend in my postings? yep, they all have sweet in them because I am just loving this BG bittersweet paper. I matched it up with a little BG textured cardstock on this card and it works well. The stamp set is Sweet Treats by CC Designs and this is the only set I own but love so many of those little guys. You can purchase CC designs at Little C's too and they are having a sale starting today and going through Saturday!! I colored this little cuddly teddy with my copics and of course he is eating sweet ice cream that I had to color pink. Oh man, I should have added a little liquid applique to make it 3D- I will go back and do that now! Geesh- you know, are you like me, I do the card and stare at it- then a bit later think, "Oh I should have done that!" I am always going and changing my cards.

Okay, gotta run, have a great day! Don't forget the wonderful sale over at Little C's either- 35% off today through Saturday! It is in celebration of Jen's birthday: the code is BDay36. Go and getcha something sweet!

Groovy!

When I first saw this little girl she reminded me of a good friends daughter about 5 years ago and so I had to buy it. She used to stamp with me but is growing up into a young lady so she has not been stamping. I thought I would send her a little card to let her know I still think of her and think she is groovy! It is a Bizzy Bec stamp and they are from Australia so if you like the stamp go and check em out and tell Bec I sent you- she has FAB shipping rates.

I colored Hippy Girl with my copics and then added a few prima, some ribbon and yes, she is getting a little metal! (for those of you who know I like to hoard my metals!). I also used little pearls around the scallops to give it a little extra bling- she is 13 so you know she likes bling! I wish I could see her face when she gets this card and I hope she likes it.

I should tell you that this card I am also entering in a contest for the new Challenge over at Stamps and Smiles! Jennifer has started her own company and they are so cute!

Also- you may want to check out the blog candy that HEIDI has going on until March 2nd. It is quite yummy and SUGAR FREE! (I couldn't add her link to my blog list for some reason it said URL can not be found)

Tuesday Little C Color Challenge

Hello all! Today's color challenge over at Little C's Blog is to use purple, ivory, celery and red. At first I was skeptical- these are not colors I would usually use but I knew I could pull it off with the image that I used, which of course is a WOJ stamp. I then used the swiss dots cuttlebug folder and Stampin Up base. The card is simple but I thought it brought attention to the image this way. The flowers are the All Natural Accents over at Little C's (aren't they beautiful?) I just ordered a few more packs. Little C's will be having a special February 26-28th of 20% off so you better start making your lists!

Have a great day!
Heidi

OH and are you an elzybell fan? They have a new release out today- go and check it out! Some sweet, yummy new stamps!

High Hopes for You!

I have been so wanting to spend more time with my High Hopes and participate in some of their challenges and have just not had time to do it so far. I was doing a little blurfing on blogs tonight and noticed they are looking for DT members so thought I would give this one a try. I had to use this sketch from Katarina which I think is a sweet sketch and I had fun using it. I left it in the direction she gave us but you could use it sideways as well. This little guy was sent to me from a friend and I just love the look on his face- reminds me of when my kids would bring me frogs or snakes (no thank you!) The yellow and greens are colors I do not use that often so that was my own personal challenge on this card. The paper is from BG cupcake paperpack- I got if from Kelly over at KLStampinNScrapping. The image is colored with copics as well!

You also need to stop over at KLSTampinNScrapping to see the new Easter Magnolia stamps that she is taking orders on- remember they are ALWAYS 10% off, what are you waiting for? They are some cuties! Here is one to tempt you!

Hope you enjoy him!

Eggtra Sweet

Hello all! I hope this post finds you all doing well, smiling and maybe enjoying your weekend! Yeha- you go girl!

This little image is so cute and not sure if you notice most of my cards are comprised of larger images so this was a little bit of a challenge for myself. Something I have been trying to do for some time now.... challenge MESelf. Anywho, the paper is from this wonderful DCWV paperpack that I got right after christmas on clearance. It had Valentine's, Easter, Halloween and Christmas paper (hence the clearance I guess). Either way- it has awesome paper in it. So this card really was a simple card, colored the image quickly with my copics, layered with pink and nesties and added a little bow! It is set for an Easter or Spring greating really!
Tata for now!

Candy

I won a handmade (or boughten) gift on another gals blog for being 1 of the first 5 to post to her blog. Part of the idea was that if I won I had to PIF something to 5 of my viewers so that is what I am going to do!

Here is how it goes:

1. The first 5 to post here will get a handmade or boughten prize from me.
2. I will mail these out in the next month (this makes it easier for me to remember)
3. You do not know what the item(s) are- they are my choice.
4. If you are the first 5 and want to participate- you must now go to your blog and post this same PIF to your viewers and PIF out 5 items.
5. Once you've listed this on your blog- come back and post that you've done it.

Have fun- challenge yourself, you are sending 'love" to someone you don't even know! (or maybe you do!)

Then you need to check out this wonderful blog candy over at paper therapy!

Also Lim is celebrating her anniversary of he blog- check it out here.
Hugs!

Hoppy Day! Sorry, just had to say that. I could use some help today- do you know who makes this image? I think it is the cutest little bunny eva! I used some of my BG Bittersweet paper, SU pretty in pink and some K&Co paper. The punch is MS lace punch. Sweet Lips!

Hello! I am back from vacation and we had such a wonderful time- it is nice to be home but the weather is less than desirable. I can honestly say I am ready for spring- what about you ladies?

While I was in Florida I picked up these 2 cute little chapsticks, well actually they are not that small they are fat chapsticks. I thought they would be so cute to alter and give to some little girls. I used BG Bittersweet on the one with the ice cream and that image is from CC designs (Sweet Treats). The other one is some other BG paper but I don't have the pack anymore so I can not recall which one it is. The flowers on the chapstick are All Natural Accents from Little C's- I tell you that I am loving these little flowers. You just need to check them out- they are home to Hawaii! Thats why they are so vibrant and festive- plus I think they give off some warmth! LOL!

I also want to say thank you to a couple ladies- Nikki honored me with this wonderful award last week while I was gone and I love it.

I would like to share this award with a couple ladies, all of which I find daily inspiration (but not limited to these ladies by any means- that list would take me foreva!) Tammi, Cheryl, and Cindy

Akkina gave me this wonderful award to share: there are so many ladies I could give this to but I would like to share with all of YOU!

Thank you for stopping in today!

Sweetness..............

I know Valentine's Day is over but I could not go without posting this card that I made. I can honestly tell you that no one received this card because I made it just before going on vacation and I didn't have time to sell it. My boys would not appreciate a card like this. But then I got to thinking, it would not have to be for Valentine's Day only! So- I will still try and sell it.

This little Sarah Kay image, My Sweet Lili is just too darned cute, I colored her with my copics (just so yummy!). The paper is of course Basic Grey new line Bitter Sweet! I just had to use some of this paper because it is delicious. I used a couple of the SU ribbons, one is the rose grograin and the brown is one from their specialty packs but I think it was from last year or so because once again I was hoarding it girls! LOL. I used a pop dot to lift of Lili so she was a little off the page!

I hope you like her as much as I do!

The Lord Bless You

Remember how I said I wanted to use my embossing folders? Well I got this one from
KL Stampin N Scrappin and wanted to make a simple card to send to someone that is having a rough time. I embossed this onto SU Artichoke and then I took Very White pigment ink with a dauber and just daubed it onto the raised leaves. I added a little bow and done. I think that it would also be sweet to have an image of a small bird that I could put with the branch/leaves but low and behold I do not have one right now!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope your SWEETIES splurge and take good care of you today. I hope you get wonderful goodies and treats and lots of sweets!

Always

Hi Ladies- this will be a quick post- the card is quite simple and I am on vacation.......

I can not take credit for this exact card as I found one similar to this one on SCS and used many of the elements to creat this. This is done with the SU Always set and Rose Red DP. I embossed the bird in black, the shimmer looks wonderful against the card. The matting is done with blace and regal rose with the little berries stamped with rose red ink. The ribbon is regal rose grosgrain.
I hope you enjoy it!

Little C Sketch

Happy Tuesday all! I am in sunny Florida but I was able to get this Little C's sketch challenge completed before taking off and I like how it turned out. The sketch was to use red, white and blue which at first I thought would be difficult based on the stamps I had but then I thought "think outside of the box Heidi!" and this is what I came up with.
If you are like me you have all those wonderful cuttlebug folder hanging around and I have been wanting to use them more often, not just for the backgrounds but what about using them for the main focus? Well do you see one stamp on this card? NOPE. I used floral fantasy as the base and then swiss polka dots on the hearts. The flowers I got from Little C's and they are All Natural Accents. This would be a cute Valentine's Day card for a friend too! Come on over and see what the other ladies have done with the challenge!
Tata for now!

Springtime Skiing

This Edwin skiing is one of my favorite images and so I had to pull him out one last time and put him to ink. I did decide to give him a little color though- instead of the typical winter scene and colors I went with greens. You know, if you are like me, you are drawn to the same colors all the time- whether it is paper or my copics so I picked some I had not used and then found some paper to match and this is what I came up with. I guess it was a challenge to myself! So- challenge yourself today- choose 2-3 colors that you have not used in say a month and give it a try. Come back and post your photo here!

This Magnolia stamp you can find over at Kelly's at KLStampinnScrappin, she has a nice variety of Magnolia's and she is always placing new orders as well. Stop on over!

Have an awesome Day!

Berries and Cream

I was once again feeling like spring- I think it might be the upcoming vacation! You think? I love this SU Upsy Daisy set and keep forgetting to pull it out. I used SU barely banana and Rose to matte the photo. I also used rose to ink the flowers, used the paper piercing tool to give the picture a little depth and make it pop! The background is Cuttlebug Swiss Dot folder- do you not just love this folder? It is clean and simple and can be used on so many different types of cards.

This next card, as you can see I used the same colors but just designed it to be a tiny bit different. I still used the same items, including the cuttlebug folder. The tag on both of these cards is made using the Nestabilities Ribbon Tag Trio and I really like it but my problem is that I do not have a white oval that fits these. So if you have this set- what do you use? I have a friend that I am going to send this to because she is working so hard and doesn't feel she can ever take a break and I want her to take care of herself.

Have a good weekend!

Little C's Sketch Challenge

Happy Day!

Today is my first day to participate in the
Little C's Sketch Challenge. I used this sweet little High Hopes Sheila and Background Jungle Stamp and colored them with my copics. The DP is a piece that I had bought some time ago and it was in my paper pile but there was no name on the back of it. I matted with SU real rust, chocolate chip, wasabi (which is also the base of the card). What about the flowers and leaves? I had not used these until Jen sent them to me and they are called All Natural Accents and you can get them at Little C's! They look so pretty and they feel good as well.

Thanks for stopping in and don't forget 15% off Magnolia and Hannah stamps over at
Little C's until 2/16. And don't forget to check out the other DIVAs projects- there is a list of them on my side bar!

**********************************************

A Little Something............ I wanted to show you all something a friend of, Sue sent to me. It is a Scrappy Sac and she made it. I have had it for some time now and I honestly use this thing daily. It is PINK of course which is my favorite color but it also sits on my craft table, that little part on the table has some type of weight in it so it hold it in place. I can throw all my scraps and junk in it- plus it is great to take with you when you go other places. So, where can you get these? I asked my friend the same thing- and that is when she told me she makes and sells them. Check out her Scrappy Sacs
